THis lamp is on display (for sale) at the Shetland Textile Museum. First time I have made this Zigzag pattern by Zena Thomson of the Shetland Guild of Spinners & Weavers. Adapted the pattern slightly for the zig zag beads to emulate the texture/design of the 'Scadmans Heed' (Sea Urchin). Many hours go into the measurements so the fine lace dresses to fit the globe as well as the knitting itself!! Knitted on 3 needles to produce a seamless lace. Seams when the lace lamp is lit would be unsightly.
